Stat. tit. 82, § 82-544","heading":"Notice of hearing on petition","body":"Immediately after the filing of such petition, the clerk of the\n\ndistrict court, with whom such petition is filed, or to whom it has\n\nbeen assigned, shall cause notice by publication, to be made of the\n\npendency of the petition and of the time and place of the hearing\n\nthereon, and said notice as provided herein shall be given in each\n\ncounty affected by the district, and the time of hearing shall be\n\nnot less than sixty (60) days from the date of the first\n\npublication. Said notice shall also include a map of the proposed\n\ndistrict. Provided, that for any district created prior to the\n\npassage of this act in which notice of hearing petition was\n\npublished in only one newspaper in a county affected by the\n\ndistrict, such notice shall be deemed sufficient. The district\n\ncourt in which the petition was filed, or to whom it was assigned,\n\nshall thereafter, for all purposes of this act, except as\n\nhereinafter otherwise provided, maintain and have original and\n\nexclusive jurisdiction coextensive with the boundaries and limits of\n\nsaid district, and of lands and other property to be included in\n\nsaid district, or affected by said district, without regard to the\n\nusual or other limits of its jurisdiction and shall convene at the\n\nconvenient county seat.","path":["OK Code","Title 82"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os82.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"ae29fcb52863615e24ee0041b46e043c01c03b02b51b67d923f24657be0506d9","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-82-82-543","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-82-82-545"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
