Stat. tit. 82, § 82-549","heading":"Amendment of district boundaries to include other","body":"necessary lands - Validation.\n\nAny time subsequent to the entry of the decree creating the\n\ndistrict, and prior to the filing of the report of the board of\n\nappraisers, land situated outside of the district boundaries,\n\nnecessary to accomplish the purposes of the district, may be\n\nincluded within the boundaries of said district. Said lands may be\n\nincluded within the boundaries of said district, by the filing, with\n\nthe court having jurisdiction of said district, a petition, signed\n\nby owners of at least fifty-one percent (51%) of the land area and\n\nby not less than fifty-one percent (51%) of the landowners in the\n\narea proposed to be added to the said district. Proceedings of said\n\npetition shall conform to the proceedings to create a district as\n\nprovided in this title. Upon said hearing, if the court finds that\n\nsaid land is reasonably necessary to be included within said\n\ndistrict to accomplish the purposes for which said district was\n\noriginally created, the court shall amend the boundaries of the\n\ndistrict to include said land.\n\nAny amendments to the boundaries of a district heretofore made\n\nby a court having jurisdiction thereof according to the procedure\n\nherein provided are hereby validated.","path":["OK Code","Title 82"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os82.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"9873182655d5bf82e78327a8b72195fca9f030f3787484f719880112ff7e3db5","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-82-82-548","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-82-82-561"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
