Stat. tit. 82, § 82-562","heading":"Board of Directors to organize - Records","body":"Each director before entering upon his official duties shall\n\ntake and subscribe to the Constitutional oath before a suitable\n\nofficer and further that he will honestly, faithfully and\n\nimpartially perform the duties of his office, and that he will not\n\nbe interested directly or indirectly in any contract let by said\n\ndistrict, which said oath shall be filed in the office of the clerk\n\nof said court in the original case. Upon taking the oath, the Board\n\nof Directors shall choose one of their number President of the\n\nBoard, and shall elect some suitable person Secretary of the Board,\n\nwho may or may not be a member of the Board. Upon organization of\n\nthe Board of Directors, and as often thereafter as may be necessary\n\nto correctly reflect all changes therein, a certificate shall be\n\nfiled in the initial case, by the President of the Board, setting\n\nforth the names, addresses and official titles of all officers of\n\nthe District. Such Board shall adopt a seal, and shall keep in a\n\nwell-bound book a record of all its proceedings, minutes of all\n\nmeetings, certificates, contracts, bonds given by employees and all\n\ncorporate acts, which record and proceedings, so recorded, shall be\n\nsigned by the said Board of Directors or such members of said Board,\n\nconcurring in said acts or proceedings, at the time of the making of\n\nsuch record or on date of the first meeting of the Board thereafter,\n\nwhich shall be open to the inspection of the owners of property in\n\nthe district, as well as to all other interested parties, said\n\nrecord is hereby declared to be the official record of the district,\n\nand shall be conclusive evidence as to all actions, proceedings and\n\nnotices and the contents thereof affecting said district.","path":["OK Code","Title 82"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os82.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"204828cc35858cc78862203eb3a395178f659aee3d283aff7b14a8f468b91a2f","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-82-82-561","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-82-82-563"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
