Stat. tit. 82, § 82-607","heading":"Hearing on appraisals","body":"Any property owner may accept the appraisals in his favor of\n\nbenefits, made by the appraisers, and shall be construed to have\n\ndone so unless he shall before the date set for hearing in the\n\nnotice by publication provided for in the preceding section, file\n\nexceptions to said report or to any appraisals of benefits. All\n\nexceptions shall be heard by the court, on the day set for hearing,\n\nor in case of necessity on order of the court, beginning not less\n\nthan twenty (20) nor more than thirty (30) days after the date set\n\nfor the hearing herein, and determined in advance of other business\n\nso as to carry out, liberally, the purposes and needs of the\n\ndistrict. The court may, if it deems necessary, return the report\n\nto the Board of appraisers for their further consideration and\n\namendment, and enter its order to that effect, and new notice shall\n\nbe published as provided herein as to any changes made, but shall\n\nnot be necessary as to the whole report. If, however, the appraisal\n\nroll as a whole is referred back to the appraisers, the court shall\n\nnot resume the hearing thereon, but new notice shall be given. But,\n\nthe court may, without losing jurisdiction over the roll, or without\n\ngiving new notice, order the appraisers to recast the roll when the\n\norder of the court specified the precise character of the changes\n\nthereof.\n\nThe district, by its Board of directors and any property owner\n\nmay accept the appraisals of damages and of the value of lands to be\n\ntaken made by the appraisers by filing their written acceptance with\n\nthe proper court clerk.
