Stat. tit. 82, § 82-662","heading":"Jurisdiction of courts as to districts being organized in","body":"same territory.\n\nIn case any district or districts are being organized within or\n\npartly within and partly without, the same territory in which some\n\nother district or districts have been or are being organized, then\n\none district judge of each judicial district in which said\n\nconservancy districts have been or are being organized shall confer\n\nat the earliest convenient moment after they ascertain the\n\npossibility of a conflict in jurisdiction, the sitting to be had in\n\nthe county having the largest assessed valuation in the proposed\n\ndistrict or districts.\n\nAt such conference the several judges shall determine to what\n\nextent the several districts should be consolidated or to what\n\nextent the boundaries should be adjusted in order to most fully\n\ncarry out the purposes of this act, and they shall by suitable\n\norders make such determination effective. In the event notices have\n\nbeen issued or jurisdiction acquired in any proceedings concerning\n\nterritory which is transferred to the district court of another\n\ncounty, such notice shall not become void and jurisdiction so\n\nacquired shall not be lost, but in each case the court acquiring\n\njurisdiction over such transferred territory shall hold the same\n\nwithout further notice, as if originally embraced in said district.\n\nAt such conferences the decision of the majority of the judges\n\nshall be necessary for the determination of any matter, and from\n\nsuch decision or from a failure to decide, appeal may be taken.\n\nThe provisions of this and the preceding section shall not\n\noperate to delay or to interrupt any proceedings under this act\n\nuntil the question of jurisdiction has been fully determined by the\n\ncourt or courts.","path":["OK Code","Title 82"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os82.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"d98586e9c0ba41b7d2de7146b4610cc9eb52eb7ed53b3452d6e3a843641cc919","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-82-82-661","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-82-82-663"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
