Stat. tit. 82, § 82-674","heading":"Fraud or other illegal acts of officials - Fine","body":"The making of profit, directly or indirectly, by any officer of\n\nany district organized under this act, or by any public officer\n\nwithin the state, out of any contracts entered into by the district,\n\nor by use of any contracts entered into by the district, or by use\n\nof any money belonging to a district by lending it or otherwise\n\nusing it, or by depositing the same in any manner, contrary to law,\n\nor by removal of any money by any such officer or by his consent and\n\nplacing elsewhere than is prescribed either by law or by the\n\nofficial acts of the board of directors for the purpose of profit,\n\nor any person who shall misrepresent any material fact concerning\n\nthe proposed project to any property owner when procuring signatures\n\nto a petition to inaugurate such project, shall constitute a Class\n\nD3 felony offense, and on conviction thereof shall subject such\n\nofficer to imprisonment as provided for in subsections B through F\n\nof Section 20P of Title 21 of the Oklahoma Statutes, or a fine not\n\nexceeding Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00), or both such fine and\n\nimprisonment, and the officer offending shall be liable personally\n\nand upon his official bond for all losses to such district and for\n\nall profits realized by such unlawful use of monies.","path":["OK Code","Title 82"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os82.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"bb09f83e57d23c8c912aed3235389f28a46643bd267103f524ed80a5f927e3a3","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-82-82-673","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-82-82-675"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
