Stat. tit. 82, § 82-863.3","heading":"Joint Legislative Task Force on the Grand River Dam","body":"Authority - Members - Travel reimbursements.\n\nA. There is hereby created the Joint Legislative Task Force on\n\nthe Grand River Dam Authority for the purpose of studying the\n\nfunctions, activities, policies, procedures and expenditures\n\nperformed by the district and any related issues the task force\n\ndeems appropriate. Members of the task force shall be appointed in\n\nJanuary of each year following a state general election by the\n\nPresident Pro Tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of\n\nRepresentatives. Membership shall be made up of five members of the\n\nSenate and five members of the House of Representatives whose\n\nlegislative districts include a portion of the Grand River Dam\n\nAuthority district to be appointed by the President Pro Tempore of\n\nthe Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives,\n\nrespectively. The President Pro Tempore and Speaker shall each\n\ndesignate one of their members to be cochairs of the task force.\n\nThe task force shall be required to meet at least once biennially\n\nduring the first session of each new legislature. Additional\n\nmeetings may be called as the cochairs determine necessary.\n\nMeetings of the task force shall be called by the cochairs. A\n\nmajority of the appointed members shall constitute a quorum for any\n\nmeeting of the task force. Staffing assistance shall be provided by\n\nthe staff of the Senate and House of Representatives.\n\nB. The members of the task force created herein shall continue\n\nto serve until new members are appointed pursuant to the provisions\n\nof subsection A of this section. The task force is authorized to\n\nadopt any recommendations or issue any report it deems necessary.\n\nAny recommendations or reports shall be approved by a majority of\n\nthe appointed members. Copies of any recommendations or reports\n\nissued by the task force shall be distributed to the Governor, the\n\nPresident Pro Tempore of the Senate, the Speaker of the House of\n\nRepresentatives, the members of the Grand River Dam Authority Board\n\nof Directors and the Chief Executive Officer of the Grand River Dam\n\nAuthority.\n\nC. The Grand River Dam Authority shall annually provide a copy\n\nof the district's most recent annual report to the members of the\n\ntask force in addition to any information requested pursuant to the\n\nprovisions of this section.\n\nD.
