Effective January 1, 2017, the Grand River Dam Authority is\n\nauthorized to set a daily, multiday or annual fee for the use of a\n\ncommercially or privately owned flotation device to float upon\n\ndesignated scenic rivers. Landowners located immediately adjacent\n\nto the designated scenic river shall not be required to pay any fee\n\nfor private use as authorized by this section or otherwise by law.\n\nB. The Grand River Dam Authority is authorized to promulgate\n\nrules establishing an online payment system or any other means by\n\nwhich the public may conveniently purchase permits for the operation\n\nof a flotation device upon designated scenic river areas as\n\nauthorized by this section.\n\nC. In the interest of public safety, the Grand River Dam\n\nAuthority is authorized to promulgate rules protecting the natural\n\nresources of the scenic rivers, regulating public use areas,\n\nestablishing use permits for scenic rivers, establishing licensing\n\nrequirements for commercial float operators and setting fees for the\n\nissuance of the licenses. The Authority shall be the sole grantor\n\nof licenses issued pursuant to the rules.\n\nD. With regard to all rights and authorities transferred to the\n\nGrand River Dam Authority pursuant to this section, Section 896.1 of\n\nthis title and Chapter 10- and 15- rules of the Oklahoma\n\nAdministrative Code 630: Scenic Rivers Commission relating to\n\nlicensing, use permits and protection of natural resources, are\n\nhereby transferred to the Grand River Dam Authority to the extent\n\nthe rules are consistent with state law and rules of the Authority\n\nfor the purpose of implementing and enforcing the provisions of the\n\nScenic Rivers Act.","path":["OK Code","Title 82"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os82.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"d1581a0aaba6a5b1ace85dc991d4b1898528dbaac4d203e7d8e0447ac09bc759","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-82-82-896.16","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-82-82-896.3"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
