Stat. tit. 82, § 82-896.5","heading":"Preservation of certain free-flowing streams and rivers","body":"- Designation of scenic river areas\n\nThe Oklahoma Legislature finds that certain free-flowing streams\n\nand rivers of Oklahoma possess such unique natural scenic beauty,\n\nwater, fish, wildlife and outdoor recreational values of present and\n\nfuture benefit to the people of the state that it is the policy of\n\nthe Legislature to preserve these areas for the benefit of the\n\npeople of Oklahoma. For this purpose the following are hereby\n\ndesignated as scenic rivers:\n\n1. The Flint Creek in Delaware County;\n\n2. The Illinois River in Adair, Delaware and Cherokee Counties\n\nabove its confluence with the Barren Fork Creek;\n\n3. The Barren Fork Creek in Adair and Cherokee Counties from\n\nthe present alignment of U.S. Highway 59 West to its confluence with\n\nthe Illinois River;\n\n4. The Upper Mountain Fork River above the 600-foot elevation\n\nlevel of Broken Bow Reservoir in McCurtain and LeFlore Counties;\n\n5. Big Lee Creek in Sequoyah County, above the 420-foot MSL\n\nelevation; and\n\n6.
