Stat. tit. 85A, § 85A-113","heading":"Transfer of case management - Case managers","body":"For cases not covered by a certified workplace medical plan, and\n\nwhere the employer, insurance company, or own-risk employer do not\n\nprovide case management, case management may be granted by the\n\nWorkers' Compensation Commission on the request of any party, or\n\nwhen the Commission determines that case management is appropriate.\n\nThe administrative law judge shall appoint a case manager from a\n\nlist of qualified case managers developed, maintained and\n\nperiodically reviewed by the Commission. The period of\n\nqualification shall be two (2) years. Case managers may be\n\nqualified for successive two-year periods. Case managers serving as\n\nqualified case managers on the effective date of this act shall\n\nserve the remainder of their respective two-year qualification\n\nperiods and may reapply for successive qualification periods. The\n\nreasonable and customary charges of a medical case manager appointed\n\nby the Commission shall be borne by the employer or insurance\n\ncarrier.
