Awards for permanent partial disability shall be made\n\npursuant to Sections 45 and 46 of this act, less any sums previously\n\npaid which the Workers' Compensation Commission may find to be a\n\nproper credit thereon. When the award becomes final, the whole sum\n\nor any unpaid portion thereof shall operate as a final adjudicated\n\nobligation and payment thereof may be enforced by the claimant or in\n\ncase of the claimant's death, by the surviving beneficiary entitled\n\nto the proceeds as provided in Section 47 of this act.\n\nB. Awards for permanent total disability shall entitle the\n\nclaimant to receive weekly income benefits for the period prescribed\n\nin this act. When an award for permanent total disability becomes\n\nfinal, the accrued portion thereof shall operate as a final\n\nadjudicated obligation and payment thereof may be enforced by the\n\nclaimant or in case of the claimant's death, by the surviving\n\nbeneficiary entitled to the proceeds as provided in this act.\n\nPermanent total disability awards shall not be commuted to a lump-\n\nsum payment.","path":["OK Code","Title 85A"],"source_url":"https://www.oklegislature.gov/OK_Statutes/CompleteTitles/os85A.pdf","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:36Z","sha256":"f4ecbaa50db1bf2a32a1e99dee9e4e033df413a2f4dc56edfbdbb58770953768","source_id":"us-ok","stale":false,"prev":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-85a-85a-115","next":"us-ok/okla.-stat.-tit.-85a-85a-117"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
