Stat. tit. 85A, § 85A-26","heading":"Removal of commissioners","body":"The Governor may, at any time, remove any commissioner for\n\ninefficiency, neglect of duty, or misconduct in office, giving him\n\nor her in advance a copy of the charges preferred and an opportunity\n\nto be heard by a three-person panel consisting of the Insurance\n\nCommissioner, the Lieutenant Governor, and the State Treasurer on\n\nnot less than ten (10) days' notice. A representative of the\n\nAttorney General's office shall attend the proceedings and on the\n\nGovernor's request shall advise or assist him or her in such\n\nproceedings. Either party may procure the attendance and testimony\n\nof witnesses as provided by the Code of Civil Procedure of this\n\nstate.
