No agreement by an employee to waive his or her right to\n\ncompensation shall be valid. No contract, regulation, or device\n\nshall operate to relieve the employer or carrier, in whole or in\n\npart, from any liability created by this act, except as specifically\n\nprovided in this act.\n\nB.
