{"data":{"id":"us-or/ors-241.016","jurisdiction":"us-or","citation":"ORS 241.016","heading":"Definitions for ORS 241.016 to 241.990.","body":"As used in ORS 241.016 to 241.990, unless the context requires otherwise:\n      (1) “Appointing power” includes every person or group of persons who, acting singly or as a board or commission, are vested by law with authority to select, appoint or employ any person to hold any position subject to civil service.\n      (2) “Appointment” includes all means of selecting or employing any person to hold any position subject to civil service.\n      (3) “Commission” means a civil service commission created under ORS 241.016 to 241.990.\n      (4) “Commissioner” means a member of the civil service commission created under ORS 241.016 to 241.990.\n      (5) “Position” includes any office, place or employment.","path":["06 - Local Government, Public Employees, Elections","22.
