{"data":{"id":"us-or/ors-731.104","jurisdiction":"us-or","citation":"ORS 731.104","heading":"“Insurance producer.”","body":"“Insurance producer” means a person required to be licensed under the laws of this state to sell, solicit or negotiate insurance. For purposes of this definition:\n      (1) “Negotiate” means to confer directly with or to offer advice directly to a purchaser or prospective purchaser of a particular policy of insurance concerning any of the substantive benefits, terms or conditions of the policy, if the person engaged in that act:\n      (a) Sells insurance; or\n      (b) Obtains insurance from insurers for purchasers.\n      (2) “Sell” means to exchange a policy of insurance by any means, for money or its equivalent, on behalf of an insurer.\n      (3) “Solicit” means to attempt to sell a policy of insurance or to ask or urge a person to apply for a particular kind of insurance from a particular insurer.","path":["18 - Financial Institutions, Insurance","56.
