{"data":{"id":"us-or/ors-801.258","jurisdiction":"us-or","citation":"ORS 801.258","heading":"“Electric assisted bicycle.”","body":"(1) “Class 1 electric assisted bicycle” means an electric assisted bicycle that:\n      (a) Provides assistance only when the rider is pedaling; and\n      (b) Ceases to provide assistance when the bicycle reaches the speed of 20 miles per hour.\n      (2) “Class 2 electric assisted bicycle” means an electric assisted bicycle that:\n      (a) May be propelled by its motor without a rider pedaling; and\n      (b) Ceases to provide assistance once the bicycle reaches a speed of 20 miles per hour.\n      (3) “Class 3 electric assisted bicycle” means an electric assisted bicycle that:\n      (a) Provides assistance only when the rider is pedaling;\n      (b) Ceases to provide assistance when the bicycle reaches the speed of 28 miles per hour; and\n      (c) Is equipped with a speedometer.\n      (4) “Electric assisted bicycle” means a bicycle that is equipped with an electric motor and that is a Class 1 electric assisted bicycle, a Class 2 electric assisted bicycle or a Class 3 electric assisted bicycle.","path":["19 - Utilities, Vehicle Code, Watercraft, Aviation","59.
