{"data":{"id":"us-or/ors-822.500","jurisdiction":"us-or","citation":"ORS 822.500","heading":"Operating commercial driver training school without certificate; rules; penalty.","body":"(1) A person commits the offense of operating a commercial driver training school without a certificate if the person is not the holder of a valid, current driver training school certificate issued under ORS 822.515 and the person operates a business or nonprofit enterprise that engages, for a consideration, in educating and training persons, either practically or theoretically, or both, in the driving of motor vehicles.\n      (2) The offense described in this section does not apply to:\n      (a) A business or nonprofit enterprise engaged in educating and training persons for a profession;\n      (b) An accredited secondary school, college or university; or\n      (c) A person that provides limited education or training for a specialized purpose, as determined by the Department of Transportation by rule.\n      (3) The offense described in this section, operating a commercial driver training school without a certificate, is a Class A misdemeanor.","path":["19 - Utilities, Vehicle Code, Watercraft, Aviation","59.
