{"data":{"id":"us-or/ors-830.180","jurisdiction":"us-or","citation":"ORS 830.180","heading":"Use of motors prohibited on certain lakes; exceptions; rules.","body":"(1) Except as provided in subsections (2) and (3) of this section, a person may not use a motor for propelling a boat or for any purpose on the following named waters of this state:\nCounties                    Lakes, Reservoirs and Rivers\nClackamas                 Trillium Lake\nDeschutes                  Charlton, Devils, Irish, Lucky,\n                                   North and South Twin, Taylor,\n                                   Three Creek and Todd Lakes\nDouglas                     Opal and Timpanagos Lakes\nHood River                Lost Lake\nJackson                      Squaw Lakes\nJefferson                    Horseshoe, Dark and Olallie\n                                   Lakes, and on that portion of\n                                   the Deschutes River between\n                                   Pelton Dam and the Wasco\n                                   County line\nLane                           Gold Lake\nLinn                           Clear Lake\nMarion                       Breitenbush Lake\nWasco                        Frog Lake, and on that portion\n                                   of the Deschutes River\n                                   bordering the Warm Springs\n                                   Indian Reservation\n      (2) The following may use a motor to propel a boat on the named waters described in this section:\n      (a) Public bodies, as defined in ORS 174.109, that have jurisdiction of the named waters described in this section; and\n      (b) The federal government.\n      (3) A person not otherwise described in subsection (2) of this section may use a motor to propel a boat on a specific named water described in this section if:\n      (a) The motor is an electric motor operated at a maximum of slow-no wake speed as defined by the State Marine Board by rule; and\n      (b) The board adopts a rule authorizing the use described in paragraph (a) of this subsection on a specific named water described in this section.","path":["19 - Utilities, Vehicle Code, Watercraft, Aviation","61.
