{"data":{"id":"us-pa/11-pa.c.s.-13201.1","jurisdiction":"us-pa","citation":"11 Pa.C.S. § 13201.1","heading":"Required connection and fees.","body":"(a) General rule.--In addition to paying for the cost and expense of construction or reconstruction in accordance with section 13201(b) (relating to construction of sanitary sewers, cost and eminent domain), a city may, by ordinance, require connection to a sanitary sewer system provided by the city or a municipal authority serving the city.\n(b) Cost.--As a condition of connection to a city-owned sewer collection, treatment or disposal facility, a city may impose and charge the following to property owners who desire to or are required to connect to the sanitary sewer system:\n(1) A connection fee.\n(2) A customer facilities fee.\n(3) A tapping fee.\n(4) Similar fees, as enumerated and defined by 53 Pa.C.S. § 5607(d)(24) (relating to purposes and powers).","path":["Title 11 - CITIES","PART V THIRD CLASS CITIES","CHAPTER 132 SANITARY SEWERS"],"source_url":"https://www.palegis.us/statutes/consolidated/view-statute?txtType=HTM\u0026ttl=11\u0026div=0\u0026chpt=132\u0026sctn=1\u0026subsctn=1","current_through":"2025-03-10 (Statute Update stamp, 11 Pa.C.S.)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-02T16:30:53Z","sha256":"9f5e32a28cb7d43edaff05432b79ace16f38b826f28a3403c173638d3f87e89e","source_id":"us-pa","stale":false,"prev":"us-pa/11-pa.c.s.-13201","next":"us-pa/11-pa.c.s.-13206"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
