{"data":{"id":"us-pa/13-pa.c.s.-7103","jurisdiction":"us-pa","citation":"13 Pa.C.S. § 7103","heading":"Relation of division to treaty or statute.","body":"(a) Hierarchy.--This division is subject to any treaty or statute of the United States or a regulatory statute of this Commonwealth to the extent the treaty, statute or regulatory statute is applicable.\n(b) No repeal or modification.--This division does not modify or repeal any law prescribing the form or content of a document of title or the services or facilities to be afforded by a bailee, or otherwise regulating a bailee's businesses in respects not specifically treated in this division. However, violation of these laws does not affect the status of a document of title that otherwise is within the definition of a document of title.\n(c) Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act.--This title modifies, limits and supersedes the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (Public Law 106-229, 15 U.S.C. § 7001 et seq.) but does not modify, limit or supersede section 101(c) of that act (15 U.S.C. § 7001(c)) or authorize electronic delivery of any of the notices described in section 103(b) of that act (15 U.S.C. § 7003(b)).\n(d) Conflict.--To the extent there is a conflict between Chapter 1, 3 or 5 of the act of December 16, 1999 (P.L.971, No.69), known as the Electronic Transactions Act, and this division, this division governs.","path":["Title 13 - COMMERCIAL CODE","CHAPTER 71 GENERAL"],"source_url":"https://www.palegis.us/statutes/consolidated/view-statute?txtType=HTM\u0026ttl=13\u0026div=0\u0026chpt=71\u0026sctn=3\u0026subsctn=0","current_through":"2025-12-01 (Statute Update stamp, 13 Pa.C.S.)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-02T16:31:03Z","sha256":"797b520be7ea1e65c15a4ab008310ceb7ae70f53b3bb34463f3300c3a77f5563","source_id":"us-pa","stale":false,"prev":"us-pa/13-pa.c.s.-7102","next":"us-pa/13-pa.c.s.-7104"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
