{"data":{"id":"us-pa/16-pa.c.s.-12313","jurisdiction":"us-pa","citation":"16 Pa.C.S. § 12313","heading":"Qualifications.","body":"(a) General rule.--An individual may not be elected to a county office, except the office of district attorney, as provided for under this part, unless the person is:\n(1) at least 18 years of age;\n(2) a citizen of the United States;\n(3) a resident of the county; and\n(4) has resided within the county for at least the directly preceding year prior to the election.\n(b) Sheriff.--In addition to the qualifications under subsection (a), an individual may not be eligible for the office of sheriff except in accordance with 44 Pa.C.S. Ch. 74 Subch.
