{"data":{"id":"us-pa/20-pa.c.s.-7798","jurisdiction":"us-pa","citation":"20 Pa.C.S. § 7798","heading":"Failure to present claim at audit.","body":"(a) Applicability.--This section applies to a person that, at the audit of a trustee's account, has a claim that:\n(1) arose out of the administration of trust property or arises out of the distribution of trust property upon any interim or final accounting of the trust; and\n(2) is not reported to the court as an admitted claim.\n(b) Bar.--A person that fails, at the call for audit or confirmation, to present a claim under subsection (a) shall be forever barred from making a claim against:\n(1) trust property distributed pursuant to the audit or confirmation;\n(2) a distributee of trust property distributed pursuant to the audit or confirmation; and\n(3) except as otherwise provided in section 3521 (relating to rehearing; relief granted), trust property awarded back upon further trust pursuant to the audit or confirmation.\n(c) Liens and charges unimpaired.--Nothing in this section shall be construed as impairing any lien or charge on real or personal estate of the trust existing at the time of the audit.","path":["Title 20 - DECEDENTS, ESTATES AND FIDUCIARIES","CHAPTER 77 TRUSTS","SUBCHAPTER J MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS"],"source_url":"https://www.palegis.us/statutes/consolidated/view-statute?txtType=HTM\u0026ttl=20\u0026div=0\u0026chpt=77\u0026sctn=98\u0026subsctn=0","current_through":"2026-03-18 (Statute Update stamp, 20 Pa.C.S.)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-02T16:31:33Z","sha256":"9c0cfcf4a5a108b0359348319b10c7670802620b9c333b827d16658d830c856b","source_id":"us-pa","stale":false,"prev":"us-pa/20-pa.c.s.-7797","next":"us-pa/20-pa.c.s.-7799"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
