{"data":{"id":"us-pa/66-pa.c.s.-511.1","jurisdiction":"us-pa","citation":"66 Pa.C.S. § 511.1","heading":"Use of Federal funds under energy program.","body":"(a) General rule.--The commission is authorized to apply for and, subject to appropriation by the General Assembly, use Federal funds pursuant to the National Energy Act which is composed of:\n(1) The \"National Energy Conservation Policy Act,\" Public Law 95-619.\n(2) The \"Powerplant and Industrial Fuel Use Act of 1978,\" Public Law 95-620.\n(3) The \"Public Utility Regulatory Policies Act of 1978,\" Public Law 95-617.\n(4) The \"Natural Gas Policy Act of 1978,\" Public Law 95-621.\n(5) The \"Energy Tax Act of 1978,\" Public Law 95-618.\n(6) The \"Energy Conservation and Production Act of 1976,\" Public Law 94-385.\n(7) Any future Federal legislation or amendments to the statutes listed in this subsection providing special funds for:\n(i) Rate making research and development.\n(ii) Energy conservation research and development.\n(iii) Motor carrier and rail transportation safety programs.\n(iv) Gas safety programs.\n(b) Funds not subject to lapse.--Funds received by the commission pursuant to subsection (a) shall not be subject to lapsing at the end of any fiscal period.\n(c) Reimbursement to utilities prohibited.--Funds received by the commission pursuant to subsection (a) shall not be reimbursed to any public utility.","path":["Title 66 - PUBLIC UTILITIES","PART I PUBLIC UTILITY CODE","SUBPART B COMMISSION POWERS, DUTIES, PRACTICES AND PROCEDURES","CHAPTER 5 POWERS AND DUTIES"],"source_url":"https://www.palegis.us/statutes/consolidated/view-statute?txtType=HTM\u0026ttl=66\u0026div=0\u0026chpt=5\u0026sctn=11\u0026subsctn=1","current_through":"2025-01-07 (Statute Update stamp, 66 Pa.C.S.)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-02T16:35:03Z","sha256":"10ccc039fca72afad5069c5c201bf6fc6d6cea66fd39064cd87293331328567d","source_id":"us-pa","stale":false,"prev":"us-pa/66-pa.c.s.-511","next":"us-pa/66-pa.c.s.-512"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
