{"data":{"id":"us-pa/68-pa.c.s.-7506","jurisdiction":"us-pa","citation":"68 Pa.C.S. § 7506","heading":"Required contractual provision regarding home inspections.","body":"Except as provided in this section, a provision of an agreement of transfer regarding the right of the buyer to obtain a home inspection report and providing for the consequences, if any, shall provide that the home inspection be performed by a full member in good standing of a national home inspection association in accordance with the ethical standards and code of conduct or practice of that association, provided that a home inspection performed by a person who has not attained full membership in a national home inspection association satisfies the requirements of this section if the person is:\n(1) licensed or registered as a professional engineer under the act of May 23, 1945 (P.L.913, No.367), known as the Engineer, Land Surveyor and Geologist Registration Law;\n(2) licensed or registered under the act of December 14, 1982 (P.L.1227, No.281), known as the Architects Licensure Law; or\n(3) supervised by a full member in good standing of a national home inspection association who agrees to be responsible for the home inspection report by signing the report.","path":["Title 68 - REAL AND PERSONAL PROPERTY","PART III RESIDENTIAL REAL PROPERTY","CHAPTER 75 HOME INSPECTIONS"],"source_url":"https://www.palegis.us/statutes/consolidated/view-statute?txtType=HTM\u0026ttl=68\u0026div=0\u0026chpt=75\u0026sctn=6\u0026subsctn=0","current_through":"2026-07-28 (Statute Update stamp, 68 Pa.C.S.)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-02T16:35:13Z","sha256":"465b33153b5bd72e6d0af4b2d5f34f8ca308a3a93bc92df97c6172da547b8b24","source_id":"us-pa","stale":false,"prev":"us-pa/68-pa.c.s.-7505","next":"us-pa/68-pa.c.s.-7507"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
