{"data":{"id":"us-pa/75-pa.c.s.-1955","jurisdiction":"us-pa","citation":"75 Pa.C.S. § 1955","heading":"Information concerning drivers and vehicles.","body":"(a) Drivers, registrations, titles and security interests.--\n(1) The fee for a copy of written or electronic information relating to a driver, registration, title or security interest shall be $8.\n(2) If a Commonwealth agency has entered into a contract with a third party to deliver driver information to a person that has complied with section 6114(b)(5) (relating to limitation on sale, publication and disclosure of records), the department may impose an additional fee of up to $2 for the requested record.\n(3) Upon approval from the department, a person that has received the driver information from the third party under paragraph (2) that has complied with section 6114(b)(5) may provide the information, for a fee, to a third party for the same purposes contained in section 6114(b)(5) without the payment of any additional fees under this subsection to the department.\n(4) Except as provided in paragraph (3), a person that sells, publishes or discloses or offers to sell, publish or disclose the information received by the person under this subsection commits a summary offense and shall, upon conviction, be sentenced to pay a fine of not less than $500 nor more than $1,000.\n(5) The department shall comply with the provisions of section 6114(d) with respect to the information of a driver under 18 years of age whose information is provided to any person under this subsection.\n(b) Other data and information.--The department may charge to any person or governmental or quasi-governmental entity a reasonable fee based on the cost to the department of compiling data and statistical information upon request.","path":["Title 75 - VEHICLES","PART II TITLE, REGISTRATION AND LICENSING","CHAPTER 19 FEES","SUBCHAPTER D MISCELLANEOUS FEES"],"source_url":"https://www.palegis.us/statutes/consolidated/view-statute?txtType=HTM\u0026ttl=75\u0026div=0\u0026chpt=19\u0026sctn=55\u0026subsctn=0","current_through":"2026-08-31 (Statute Update stamp, 75 Pa.C.S.)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-02T16:35:49Z","sha256":"e6cbda13d16a3053256ebee0b2bdbbb4d526f392775240aca978552eae93aa58","source_id":"us-pa","stale":false,"prev":"us-pa/75-pa.c.s.-1954","next":"us-pa/75-pa.c.s.-1956"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
