{"data":{"id":"us-pa/75-pa.c.s.-3107","jurisdiction":"us-pa","citation":"75 Pa.C.S. § 3107","heading":"Drivers in funeral processions.","body":"(a) General rule.--The driver of a vehicle which is being driven in a funeral procession may:\n(1) Park or stand irrespective of the provisions of this part.\n(2) Proceed past a red signal indication or stop sign if the lead vehicle in the procession started through the intersection while the signal indicator was green or, in the case of a stop sign, the lead vehicle first came to a complete stop before proceeding through the intersection.\n(b) Visual signals required.--The privileges granted by this section shall apply only if each vehicle in the funeral procession displays lighted head lamps and emergency flashers and bears a flag or other insignia designating it as part of a funeral procession.\n(b.1) Visual signals authorized.--Notwithstanding any other provision of this title to the contrary, a funeral director or the director's representative may display flashing or revolving purple lights on any funeral processional vehicle which is being driven in a funeral procession.\n(c) Right-of-way to emergency vehicles.--This section does not relieve the driver of a vehicle which is being driven in a funeral procession from yielding the right-of-way to an emergency vehicle making use of audible and visual signals, nor from the duty to drive with due regard for the safety of all persons.","path":["Title 75 - VEHICLES","PART III OPERATION OF VEHICLES","CHAPTER 31 GENERAL PROVISIONS","SUBCHAPTER A OBEDIENCE TO AND EFFECT OF TRAFFIC LAWS"],"source_url":"https://www.palegis.us/statutes/consolidated/view-statute?txtType=HTM\u0026ttl=75\u0026div=0\u0026chpt=31\u0026sctn=7\u0026subsctn=0","current_through":"2026-08-31 (Statute Update stamp, 75 Pa.C.S.)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-02T16:35:49Z","sha256":"0e9bd3c4519046d0331ecb9d9a7d4d2b80d8b17883873d9542d65b28f672bf52","source_id":"us-pa","stale":false,"prev":"us-pa/75-pa.c.s.-3106","next":"us-pa/75-pa.c.s.-3108"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
