Laws § 1-7-2","heading":"Legislative findings.","body":"The general assembly hereby finds and declares as follows:\n(a) Rhode Island T.F. Green International Airport is located in a densely populated, primarily residential area of the city of Warwick.\n(b) Many of the airport operations and activities result in emissions of a number of air pollutants that may be harmful to public health.\n(c) Emissions of concern include, but are not limited to, those associated with “take-off” and “landing” activities of aircraft and emissions associated with the use of diesel engine ground support equipment.\n(d) A long-term air-quality monitoring program is necessary to collect the data needed to evaluate the impact of the airport emissions on air quality and public health.","path":["Title 1 Aeronautics","Chapter 7 The Permanent Air Quality Monitoring Act"],"source_url":"https://webserver.rilegislature.gov/Statutes/TITLE1/1-7/1-7-2.htm","current_through":"site files published 2025-08-13","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T14:17:55Z","sha256":"1fefedeb3b5c503d5cab36f76ccb89306a777ea7af4126583e2b3305bb55d223","source_id":"us-ri","stale":true,"prev":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-1-7-1","next":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-1-7-3"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
