Laws § 11-67.1-3","heading":"Trafficking an individual.","body":"(a) A person commits the offense of trafficking an individual if the person knowingly recruits, transports, transfers, harbors, receives, provides, obtains, isolates, maintains, or entices an individual in furtherance of:\n(1) Forced labor in violation of § 11-67.1-4; or\n(2) Sexual servitude in violation of § 11-67.1-5.\n(b) Every person who shall commit trafficking of a minor shall be guilty of a felony, subject to not more than fifty (50) years imprisonment, a fine of up to forty thousand dollars ($40,000), or both.\n(c) Every person who shall commit trafficking of an adult shall be guilty of a felony, subject to not more than twenty (20) years imprisonment, a fine of up to twenty thousand dollars ($20,000), or both.","path":["Title 11 Criminal Offenses","Chapter 67.1 Uniform Act on Prevention of and Remedies for Human Trafficking"],"source_url":"https://webserver.rilegislature.gov/Statutes/TITLE11/11-67.1/11-67.1-3.htm","current_through":"site files published 2025-08-13","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T19:55:21Z","sha256":"dcf34fe0bd024cc18a2608b3b01c00a141a108e934258a070a57d0c339a79318","source_id":"us-ri","stale":true,"prev":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-11-67.1-2","next":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-11-67.1-4"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
