Laws § 2-18.1-26","heading":"Penalties for violations.","body":"Any person who violates any of the provisions of this chapter with reference to:\n(1) The sale, distribution, receipt or delivery of nursery stock which has not been inspected and certified;\n(2) The sale or offering for sale of nursery stock without first obtaining a license as provided for in this chapter;\n(3) The use of a license or a certificate of inspection after it has been revoked or suspended or has expired;\n(4) The use of a license or certificate of inspection belonging to another person;\n(5) The offering of any hindrance or resistance to the carrying out of the provisions of this chapter; or\n(6) The violation of any other provision of this chapter, or any rule or regulation of the director made in pursuance of this chapter;\nshall, upon conviction, be adjudged guilty of a misdemeanor and fined not less than twenty-five dollars ($25.00) nor more than one hundred dollars ($100) for each and every offense.","path":["Title 2 Agriculture and Forestry","Chapter 18.1 Rhode Island Nursery Law"],"source_url":"https://webserver.rilegislature.gov/Statutes/TITLE2/2-18.1/2-18.1-26.htm","current_through":"site files published 2025-08-13","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T14:17:59Z","sha256":"b9c11bbf3cb8316d6ce62e1767ae925e91b53a16ab320ddfe01b13332de48459","source_id":"us-ri","stale":true,"prev":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-2-18.1-25","next":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-2-18.1-27"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
