Laws § 2-3-8","heading":"Appropriations for 4-H youth development activities.","body":"The sum of four thousand five hundred dollars ($4,500) is annually appropriated, out of any money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, to be expended by the respective officers of the three (3) district associations:\n(1) Fifteen hundred dollars ($1,500) to the eastern Rhode Island cooperative extension service for expenses in connection with its annual 4-H fair and/or other 4-H activities;\n(2) Fifteen hundred dollars ($1,500) to the northern Rhode Island cooperative extension service for expenses in connection with its annual 4-H fair and/or other 4-H activities; and\n(3) Fifteen hundred dollars ($1,500) to the southern Rhode Island cooperative extension service for expenses in connection with its annual 4-H fair and/or other 4-H activities;\nThe state controller is hereby authorized and directed to draw orders upon the general treasurer for the payment of this money, or so much as may be required from time to time, upon the receipt by the state controller of properly authenticated vouchers.","path":["Title 2 Agriculture and Forestry","Chapter 3 Cooperative Extension District Associations and the Rhode Island Agricultural Council"],"source_url":"https://webserver.rilegislature.gov/Statutes/TITLE2/2-3/2-3-8.htm","current_through":"site files published 2025-08-13","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T14:17:56Z","sha256":"bcd0154e8a2dfe5b8d598ce14541b2e8f42c8b8db421453ae33bac55d5886050","source_id":"us-ri","stale":true,"prev":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-2-3-7","next":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-2-3-9"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
