Laws § 21-28-3.27","heading":"Labeling by dispensing apothecaries.","body":"Whenever an apothecary sells or dispenses any controlled substance on a prescription issued by a practitioner, he or she shall affix to the container in which the controlled substance is sold or dispensed, a label showing his or her own name and address, or the name, and address of the apothecary for whom he or she is lawfully acting; the label shall be printed, typed, or a combination of printed and typed, but shall not be hand written; the name and address of the patient, or, if the patient is an animal, the name and address of the owner of the animal and the species of the animal; the name of the practitioner by whom the prescription was written or ordered; the number of pills dispensed, and any directions that may be stated on the prescription.
