Laws § 21-28.10-9","heading":"Penalties.","body":"(a) The executive office may assess a civil penalty in an amount not to exceed one thousand dollars ($1,000) per day against any licensee that fails to comply with this chapter.\n(b)(1) In addition to any other civil penalty provided by law, where a licensee has failed to pay its market share in accordance with § 21-28.10-5, the executive office may also assess a penalty of no less than ten percent (10%) and no greater than three hundred percent (300%) of the market share due from such licensee.\n(2) In addition to any other criminal penalty provided by law, where a licensee has failed to pay its market share in accordance with § 21-28.10-5, the executive office may also assess a penalty of no less than ten percent (10%) and no greater than fifty percent (50%) of the market share due from such licensee.","path":["Title 21 Food and Drugs","Chapter 28.10 Opioid Stewardship Act"],"source_url":"https://webserver.rilegislature.gov/Statutes/TITLE21/21-28.10/21-28.10-9.htm","current_through":"site files published 2025-08-13","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T19:56:28Z","sha256":"cdd58bf036887cb593ae4205ab9590b2f3072f756d98f502f01a5d98617af97e","source_id":"us-ri","stale":true,"prev":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-21-28.10-8","next":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-21-28.10-10"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
