[Expires March 1, 2028.]","body":"The advisory committee shall make recommendations to the director of the department of health with respect to the following:\n(1) Maximizing the potential public health and safety benefits of harm reduction centers;\n(2) The proper disposal of hypodermic needles and syringes;\n(3) The recovery of persons utilizing such harm reduction centers;\n(4) Federal, state, and local laws impacting the creation and operation of the harm reduction centers;\n(5) Appropriate guidance to relevant professional licensing boards;\n(6) Potential collaboration with other public health efforts;\n(7) Consideration of any other factors beneficial to promoting the public health and safety; and\n(8) Liability protection for property owners, harm reduction center staff, and volunteers and participants, from criminal or civil liability resulting from the operation of a harm reduction center.","path":["Title 23 Health and Safety","Chapter 12.10 Harm Reduction Center Advisory Committee and Program [Expires March 1, 2028.]"],"source_url":"https://webserver.rilegislature.gov/Statutes/TITLE23/23-12.10/23-12.10-3.htm","current_through":"site files published 2025-08-13","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T19:56:41Z","sha256":"726d55168bc652af25b892ec2aaa2a4ac3f19e03a4608accbca85c25f05ee3e7","source_id":"us-ri","stale":true,"prev":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-23-12.10-2","next":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-23-12.10-4"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
