Laws § 23-17.9-9","heading":"Penalties for violations.","body":"It shall be a misdemeanor punishable by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars ($500) and/or by imprisonment for not more than one year for any person to:\n(1) Obtain his or her certification or registration by means of fraud, misrepresentation, or concealment of material facts;\n(2) Practice as a nursing assistant under cover of any certification or registration illegally or fraudulently obtained or unlawfully issued;\n(3) Practice as a nursing assistant during the time his or her certification or registration issued under the provisions of this chapter shall be suspended or revoked; or\n(4) Otherwise violate any of the provisions of this chapter.","path":["Title 23 Health and Safety","Chapter 17.9 Registration of Nursing Assistants"],"source_url":"https://webserver.rilegislature.gov/Statutes/TITLE23/23-17.9/23-17.9-9.htm","current_through":"site files published 2025-08-13","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T19:56:46Z","sha256":"78586760795a80a01fdf2ec10cda8594cbc22e0a783a7c7122953ab59787057f","source_id":"us-ri","stale":true,"prev":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-23-17.9-8","next":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-23-17.9-10"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
