Laws § 23-19-13.5","heading":"Interim rates.","body":"The municipal tipping fee charged by the resource recovery corporation shall be as follows:\n(1) Thirty-two dollars ($32.00) per ton from July 1, 2011 to June 30, 2015, for any municipality that recycles between zero percent (0%) and twenty-four and ninety-nine hundredths percent (24.99%) of its solid waste at the Corporation’s material recycling facility (“MRF”) in Johnston.\n(2) Thirty-one dollars ($31.00) per ton from July 1, 2011 to June 30, 2015, for any municipality that recycles between twenty-five percent (25%) and twenty-nine and ninety-nine hundredths percent (29.99%) of its solid waste at the Corporation’s (“MRF”) in Johnston.\n(3) Thirty dollars ($30.00) per ton from July 1, 2011 to June 30, 2015, for any municipality that recycles between thirty percent (30%) and thirty-four and ninety-nine hundredths percent (34.99%) of its solid waste at the Corporation’s (“MRF”) in Johnston.\n(4) Twenty-nine dollars ($29.00) per ton from July 1, 2011 to June 30, 2015, for any municipality that recycles thirty-five percent (35%) or more of its solid waste at the Corporation’s (“MRF”) in Johnston.\n(5) The Corporation shall issue a rebate not later than September 1 of each year to those municipalities qualifying for a year-end tipping fee adjustment according to the municipality’s actual recorded tonnage delivered to the MRF in Johnston, and in accordance with the provisions of the municipality’s current-year signed solid waste and recycling services agreement with the corporation.\n(6) The corporation shall provide a rate plan with its proposed budget to be submitted to the state on or before October 1, 2014, in accordance with § 23-19-37.","path":["Title 23 Health and Safety","Chapter 19 Rhode Island Resource Recovery Corporation"],"source_url":"https://webserver.rilegislature.gov/Statutes/TITLE23/23-19/23-19-13.5.htm","current_through":"site files published 2025-08-13","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T19:56:51Z","sha256":"998d9cba7e08626c97561740cb3dc1b3837ca63dd51c726f9a9cd4ba22e4d3e6","source_id":"us-ri","stale":true,"prev":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-23-19-13.4","next":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-23-19-13.6"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
