Laws § 23-25-24","heading":"Cooperation with other agencies.","body":"The director may cooperate, receive grants-in-aid, and enter into cooperative agreements or contracts with any agency of the federal government, of this state and its subdivisions, or with any agency of another state, in order to:\n(1) Secure uniformity of regulations;\n(2) Enter into cooperative agreements with the EPA to register pesticides under the authority of this chapter and FIFRA;\n(3) Cooperate in the enforcement of the federal pesticide control laws through the use of state and/or federal personnel and facilities to implement cooperative enforcement programs, including, but not limited to, the registration and inspection of establishments;\n(4) Develop and administer state plans for training and for certification of applicators consistent with federal standards;\n(5) Contract for training with other agencies for the purpose of training applicators to be certified or licensed;\n(6) Contract for monitoring pesticides for the national plan;\n(7) Prepare, submit, and maintain state plans to meet federal certification standards, as provided for in § 4 of FIFRA, 7 U.S.C. § 136i(a) to (c); and\n(8) Regulate certified and licensed applicators.","path":["Title 23 Health and Safety","Chapter 25 Pesticide Control"],"source_url":"https://webserver.rilegislature.gov/Statutes/TITLE23/23-25/23-25-24.htm","current_through":"site files published 2025-08-13","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T19:56:59Z","sha256":"9c188fe1a1064853f658690d4982a27981b56807d2675a1c9261defd84908e67","source_id":"us-ri","stale":true,"prev":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-23-25-23","next":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-23-25-25"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
