Laws § 23-27.3-114.2","heading":"Expiration of permit.","body":"Any permit issued shall become invalid unless the work authorized by it shall have been commenced within six (6) months after its issuance, or if the work authorized by the permit is suspended or abandoned, for a period of six (6) months after the time the work is commenced; provided, that, for cause, an extension of time for a period not exceeding ninety (90) days has not been granted. All extensions must be in writing and signed by the building official.
