Laws § 23-5-5","heading":"Reporting of occupational diseases.","body":"Every physician licensed by the department of health attending on or called in to evaluate a patient whom he or she believes to be suffering from an occupational disease or condition identified by the department of health in regulation as a reportable occupational disease shall within thirty (30) days of that attendance or evaluation send to the department of health a report, on a form acceptable to the director of health, stating:\n(1) Name, address, and occupation of patient.\n(2) Name, address, and business of employer.\n(3) Nature of disease.\n(4) Any other information that may be reasonably required by the department of health.","path":["Title 23 Health and Safety","Chapter 5 Reports of Disease and Disability"],"source_url":"https://webserver.rilegislature.gov/Statutes/TITLE23/23-5/23-5-5.htm","current_through":"site files published 2025-08-13","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T19:56:39Z","sha256":"8837a1fe986fa572700589cd16b0c1c0b968611f9b68a99bbd66712940c2e17a","source_id":"us-ri","stale":true,"prev":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-23-5-1-23-5-4","next":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-23-5-6-23-5-7"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
