Laws § 23-74-2","heading":"Maltreatment of minors prohibited.","body":"Nothing in this chapter shall restrict the ability of a local law enforcement agency or the director of the department of children, youth and families to take action regarding the maltreatment of minors. A parent who obtains unlicensed health care for the parent’s minor child is not relieved of the duty to seek necessary medical care consistent with the requirements of the general laws.
