Laws § 27-19-78","heading":"Health insurance contracts — Copayments exemption for COVID-19 vaccinations.","body":"(a) Any individual or group health insurance plan or policy shall not impose any copayment, coinsurance, or charge any out-of-pocket deductible to the insured for COVID-19 related services, including, but not limited to: emergency services, inpatient services, provider office visits, and inpatient hospital stays, as long as the COVID-19 state of emergency remains in effect.\n(b) Any individual or group health insurance plan or policy shall not impose any copayment, coinsurance, or charge any out-of-pocket deductible to the insured for the administration of the COVID-19 vaccine or a COVID-19 test.\n(c) The health insurance commissioner shall promulgate any rules and regulations as the commissioner deems necessary for the efficient administration and enforcement of this section.","path":["Title 27 Insurance","Chapter 19 Nonprofit Hospital Service Corporations"],"source_url":"https://webserver.rilegislature.gov/Statutes/TITLE27/27-19/27-19-78.htm","current_through":"site files published 2025-08-13","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T19:57:33Z","sha256":"784fa8b6c06206466dc99eb48475944d40c763e26bafc1cb65921b0fdee682fa","source_id":"us-ri","stale":true,"prev":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-27-19-77","next":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-27-19-79"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
