Laws § 27-44-11","heading":"Rating organizations — Permitted activity.","body":"Any rating organization, in addition to other activities not prohibited, is authorized to:\n(1) Develop statistical plans including territorial and class definitions;\n(2) Collect statistical data from members, subscribers, or any other source;\n(3) Prepare, distribute, and file rates and supplementary rate information;\n(4) Distribute information that is filed with the director and open to public inspection;\n(5) Conduct research and on-site inspections in order to prepare classifications of public fire defenses;\n(6) Consult with public officials regarding public fire protection as it would affect members, subscribers, and others;\n(7) Conduct research and collect statistics in order to discover, identify, and classify information relating to causes or prevention of losses;\n(8) Prepare and file policy forms and endorsements and consult with members, subscribers, and others relative to their use and application;\n(9) Conduct research and on-site inspections for the purpose of providing risk information relating to individual structures;\n(10) Collect, compile, and distribute past and current prices of individual insurers if that information is made available to the general public; and\n(11) Furnish any other services related to those enumerated in this section.","path":["Title 27 Insurance","Chapter 44 Casualty, Liability and Fire and Marine Insurance Rating"],"source_url":"https://webserver.rilegislature.gov/Statutes/TITLE27/27-44/27-44-11.htm","current_through":"site files published 2025-08-13","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T19:57:41Z","sha256":"78aff5df0ab90141c583719411ad838c9d097fa1a96f637771200b2bbc9e0ea3","source_id":"us-ri","stale":true,"prev":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-27-44-10","next":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-27-44-12"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
