Laws § 3-8-6.3","heading":"Manufacture or distribution of fraudulent identification cards or licenses to operate a motor vehicle.","body":"(a) It shall be unlawful for any person to manufacture or distribute a fraudulent identification card, as defined in §§ 11-18-20.1 and 3-8-6, or a fraudulent license to operate a motor vehicle.\n(b) Each incident of manufacturing or distributing a fraudulent identification card or a fraudulent license to operate a motor vehicle shall be considered a separate and distinct offense.\n(c) Any person who violates subsection (a) of this section shall be guilty of a criminal violation and shall be subject to the following:\n(1) For a first offense, a fine of not more than five hundred dollars ($500);\n(2) For a second offense, a fine of not more than one thousand dollars ($1000);\n(3) For a third or subsequent offense, a fine of not more than two thousand dollars ($2000).","path":["Title 3 Alcoholic Beverages","Chapter 8 Regulation of Sales"],"source_url":"https://webserver.rilegislature.gov/Statutes/TITLE3/3-8/3-8-6.3.htm","current_through":"site files published 2025-08-13","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T14:18:02Z","sha256":"a287047b43800e02200703d2d9809deaa6dde2457c6370bea22f39a3e20fb9dc","source_id":"us-ri","stale":true,"prev":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-3-8-6.2","next":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-3-8-7-3-8-8.1"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
