Laws § 31-41.1-11","heading":"Jurisdiction.","body":"(a) The traffic tribunal shall have exclusive original jurisdiction over the adjudication of charges under § 31-27-2.1(c)(1) (Refusal to submit to chemical test first violation).\n(b) The district court shall have exclusive original jurisdiction over the adjudication of charges under § 31-27-2.1(c)(2) and (3) (Refusal to submit to chemical test, second violation and third and subsequent violations).\n(c) The traffic tribunal shall have exclusive original jurisdiction over the adjudication of charges under § 31-27-2.1(c)(4) and (5) (Refusal to submit to a chemical test, second violation and third and subsequent violations with respect to a case of refusal to submit to a blood test).\n(d) Nothing in subsections (a) and (b) of this section shall be deemed to abrogate the jurisdiction of any municipal court under the provisions of chapter 18 of title 8 of the general laws.","path":["Title 31 Motor and Other Vehicles","Chapter 41.1 Adjudication of Traffic Offenses"],"source_url":"https://webserver.rilegislature.gov/Statutes/TITLE31/31-41.1/31-41.1-11.htm","current_through":"site files published 2025-08-13","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T19:58:29Z","sha256":"dff3e5e99e1d6756477b0f5d9cef467ad15a3b66482c57779fef1fa59eaf94ac","source_id":"us-ri","stale":true,"prev":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-31-41.1-10","next":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-31-41.2-1"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
