Laws § 31-41.3-13","heading":"Security of records.","body":"(a) The recorded images produced by an automated school-zone-speed-enforcement system shall not be deemed “public records” subject to disclosure pursuant to § 38-2-2.\n(b) All recorded images that do not identify a violation shall be destroyed within ninety (90) days of the date the image was recorded, unless otherwise ordered by a court of competent jurisdiction.\n(c) All recorded images that identify a violation shall be destroyed within one year after the citation is resolved by administrative payment, trial, or other final disposition of the citation, unless otherwise ordered by a court of competent jurisdiction.\n(d) The privacy of records produced pursuant to this chapter shall be maintained; provided, that aggregate data not containing personal identifying information may be released.","path":["Title 31 Motor and Other Vehicles","Chapter 41.3 Automated School-Zone-Speed-Enforcement System Act of 2016"],"source_url":"https://webserver.rilegislature.gov/Statutes/TITLE31/31-41.3/31-41.3-13.htm","current_through":"site files published 2025-08-13","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T19:58:29Z","sha256":"9dffe2e9d032808f45e39a2934aab97305f36013862c12856dfa307f2b6485a6","source_id":"us-ri","stale":true,"prev":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-31-41.3-12","next":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-31-41.3-14"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
