Laws § 31-9-7","heading":"Reports by police officers of thefts and recoveries.","body":"Every proper officer, upon receiving reliable information that any vehicle registered under this title has been stolen, shall immediately report the theft to the division of motor vehicles unless prior to this discovery information has been received of the recovery of the vehicle.
