Laws § 34-36.1-4.01","heading":"Applicability — Waiver.","body":"(a) This article applies to all units subject to this chapter except as provided in subsection (b) or as modified or waived by agreement of purchasers of units in a condominium in which all units are restricted to nonresidential use.\n(b) Neither a public offering statement nor a resale certificate need be prepared or delivered in the case of:\n(1) A gratuitous disposition of a unit;\n(2) A disposition pursuant to court order;\n(3) A disposition by a government or governmental agency;\n(4) A disposition by foreclosure or deed in lieu of foreclosure;\n(5) A disposition to a person in the business of selling real estate who intends to offer those units to purchasers or;\n(6) A disposition that may be cancelled at any time and for any reason by the purchaser without penalty.","path":["Title 34 Property","Chapter 36.1 Condominium Law","Article IV Protection of Condominium Purchasers"],"source_url":"https://webserver.rilegislature.gov/Statutes/TITLE34/34-36.1/34-IV/34-36.1-4.01.htm","current_through":"site files published 2025-08-13","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T19:58:51Z","sha256":"376f0aed71b21f9f0d8f04856928be5b36fdc599c89c5d00ad30555a7c60f6ff","source_id":"us-ri","stale":true,"prev":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-34-36.1-3.21","next":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-34-36.1-4.02"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
