Laws § 37-2-44","heading":"Cost and pricing principles — Regulations required.","body":"The chief purchasing officer shall issue regulations setting forth cost principles which shall be used:\n(1) As guidelines in the negotiation of:\n(i) Estimated costs of fixed prices when the absence of open marker competition precludes the use of competitive sealed bidding;\n(ii) Adjustments for state-directed changes or modifications in contract performances; and\n(iii) Settlements of contracts which have been terminated.\n(2) To determine the allowability of incurred costs for the purpose of reimbursing costs under contract provisions which provide for the reimbursement of costs; and\n(3) As appropriate in any other situation where the determination of the estimated or the incurred costs of performing contracts may be required.","path":["Title 37 Public Property and Works","Chapter 2 State Purchases"],"source_url":"https://webserver.rilegislature.gov/Statutes/TITLE37/37-2/37-2-44.htm","current_through":"site files published 2025-08-13","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T19:59:06Z","sha256":"a097c4addb19fbbb6e31403658ceada299aa90cb342be60a459d09bbf3f2fd7f","source_id":"us-ri","stale":true,"prev":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-37-2-43","next":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-37-2-45"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
