Laws § 37-2-79","heading":"Establishment of the Rhode Island Strategic Purchasing Advisory Commission.","body":"In order to provide a means of collaboration between the state, cities/towns and school committees a permanent advisory commission is established named the “Rhode Island Strategic Purchasing Advisory Commission.” This Advisory Commission will consist of nine (9) members including: (1) the state purchasing agent or his or her designee, who will serve as chair, (2) a designee of the board of regents of the Rhode Island department of elementary and secondary education, (3) a designee of the board of governors of higher education, (4) a designee of the Rhode Island School Committees Association, (5) a designee of the Rhode Island League of Cities and Towns, (6) a designee of the Association of School Business Officials, (7) a designee of the Rhode Island Municipal Purchasing Agents Association, (8) a designee of the Rhode Island economic development corporation and, (9) a designee of the state budget officer.","path":["Title 37 Public Property and Works","Chapter 2 State Purchases"],"source_url":"https://webserver.rilegislature.gov/Statutes/TITLE37/37-2/37-2-79.htm","current_through":"site files published 2025-08-13","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T19:59:06Z","sha256":"a9c2909b596287e121647f55cbbf5ac6147434ec99e9d0d42f4ead5dbba0ab8e","source_id":"us-ri","stale":true,"prev":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-37-2-78","next":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-37-2-80"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
