Laws § 39-26.2-10","heading":"Establishment of board — Purposes.","body":"(a) There is hereby authorized, created, and established a board to be known as “The Distributed Generation Standard Contract Board” with the powers and duties set forth in this chapter.\n(b) The purposes of this board are to:\n(1) Evaluate and make recommendations to the commission regarding ceiling prices and annual contracting targets, the make-up of renewable energy classes, and the terms of standard contracts under the provisions of this chapter;\n(2) Provide consistent, comprehensive, informed, and publicly accountable involvement by representatives of groups impacted by, involved in, and knowledgeable regarding the development of distributed-generation projects that are eligible to enter into standard contracts; and\n(3) Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the distributed-generation standard contracting program for the purchase of the energy output of distributed renewable-generation projects.","path":["Title 39 Public Utilities and Carriers","Chapter 26.2 Distributed Generation Standard Contracts"],"source_url":"https://webserver.rilegislature.gov/Statutes/TITLE39/39-26.2/39-26.2-10.htm","current_through":"site files published 2025-08-13","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T19:59:21Z","sha256":"9b6a27f6d14a352d0e3ab8ee2ec8c30839aab3c777999ea32b6108bfe9ef8f36","source_id":"us-ri","stale":true,"prev":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-39-26.2-9","next":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-39-26.2-11"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
