Laws § 4-11-3","heading":"Records to be kept by dealers.","body":"(a) Persons who import, purchase, breed, sell, exchange, barter, give away, or otherwise deal in psittacine birds shall keep records of each bird consisting of the following data:\n(1) Breeder’s name and address;\n(2) Identifying band number;\n(3) Species of bird;\n(4) Date of transfer to new owner; and\n(5) Name and address of new owner.\n(b) These records shall be kept for a minimum period of two (2) years and be subject to inspection by the local health officer or a representative of the state department of environmental management.","path":["Title 4 Animals and Animal Husbandry","Chapter 11 Psittacine Birds"],"source_url":"https://webserver.rilegislature.gov/Statutes/TITLE4/4-11/4-11-3.htm","current_through":"site files published 2025-08-13","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-05T14:18:07Z","sha256":"c9f53e380b886701127f57ff1a889cea0884124c4c6f997ed1f2f9dd7162887f","source_id":"us-ri","stale":true,"prev":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-4-11-2","next":"us-ri/r.i.-gen.-laws-4-11-4"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
